Korda Compac Kamo 200 Tackle Pouch Review

Korda Compac Kamo 200 Tackle Pouch Review

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I needed another tackle pouch. I've got bags, boxes, and pouches coming out of my ears. But after a few sessions where I found myself rummaging through a jumbled mess of rigs, swivels, and hook links at the bank, I caved and picked up the Korda Compac Kamo 200 Tackle Pouch. Honestly, it's one of the better bits of kit I've added to my setup in a while.

First Impressions

Out of the bag, the build quality is immediately obvious. The Kamo print looks sharp and understated, not the kind of thing that screams "look at me" on the bank, which I appreciate. The zips feel solid, the stitching is tight, and the whole thing has that reassuring density that tells you it's been made to last. Korda have clearly put thought into this rather than just slapping their logo on a generic pouch.

Organisation and Storage

The 200 size hits a sweet spot for me. It's compact enough to slip into the front pocket of my rucksack or clip onto a rod bag without adding bulk, but there's genuinely enough room inside to keep a session's worth of terminal tackle properly organised. I run mine with a selection of ready-tied rigs, a few packs of hooks, some lead clips, swivels, and a couple of rig rings and it all fits without having to force the zip.

The internal layout is well thought out. The mesh pockets are a nice touch for keeping smaller items visible and accessible, and the main compartment is deep enough to take rig wallets flat without bending them. After a few sessions I've settled into a system where everything has its place and I can find what I need without taking my eyes off the rods.

On the Bank

This is where it earns its keep. I fish a mix of day sessions and overnighters, and the Compac Kamo 200 has become a permanent fixture in my kit. It sits neatly on the unhooking mat while I'm set up, and when I'm moving swims it tucks away without fuss. The zips haven't snagged once. A small thing, but when you're trying to re-rig quickly in the dark it matters more than you'd think.

The Kamo finish also does a decent job of hiding the inevitable scuffs and mud that come with regular use. After a handful of sessions it still looks presentable, which is more than I can say for some of the cheaper pouches I've used over the years.

Who's It For?

If you're the kind of angler who likes their terminal tackle organised and accessible rather than loose in a bucket or buried in a rucksack, the Korda Compac Kamo 200 is a genuinely useful bit of kit. It's not the cheapest option on the market but it's built to a standard that justifies the price. For carp anglers who take their rig game seriously, it's a straightforward recommendation.

I've been using Korda tackle for years and their luggage range consistently delivers. This pouch is no different. Practical, well-made, and designed by people who clearly spend time on the bank themselves.

Verdict: 9/10. A compact, well-organised tackle pouch that earns its place in any serious carp angler's kit bag.
